You may never see
From the eyes of the other,
Your son, which is he
There is no gift which he could give
Except the gift of a smile everyday
The gift you gave to him: is to live
The thanks, even the Poet finds hard to say
Not for lack of words
You gave him a mind
Sent his ego to fly with birds
But taught him humility and to be kind
Gave him the world
And from time to time
When his misbehaving unfurled
Reprimanded his behind
He can`t thank God enough
For the both of you
Your`e made of that special stuff
Others like you are too few
Taught him lessons
Things he never knew
The skills to lessen
The days when he feels blue
“The world may change
Time will slowly rearrange
All I know
What evidently does show…
Is nothing can lift
Not a bat or a bat
Nothing can sift
Nor a rat or a rat
Not a thing can rift
No cat or some cat
There`s nothing that can remove, shake, or divide
(without you both I would not be alive)
… What is plain and simply true
That every gift in me, that shines through
I owe every- single- thing, all of it to you
I Love You Mom and Dad”.
